Organic Gardening![]() Olga Schifani & Amy S. Duggan, are vegan organic farmers, educators, and activists. They started the Center for Vegan Organic Education, a subscription farm on Vashon Island, Washington in 1998 and have created the Center for Vegan Organic Education, a non-profit organization to teach people to garden using vegan organic methods and to help people reconnect to their food source.
Question:What is vegan organic growing?
Article continues below Answer:Vegan organic is a way of growing food (herbs, flowers, etc.) that avoids chemicals, pesticides, livestock manures, animal remains form slaughterhouses, and fisheries. Instead, fertility is obtained through compost, green manures, crop rotation, mulches, and any other method that is sustainable, ecologically viable and not dependent upon animal exploitation. This will ensure long-term fertility, and wholesome food for this and future generations. |
