Question:

I bought some yeast and it has expired. What will the effect be on my recipes if I use expired yeast?

Answer:

Your bread won't rise. Both fresh and dry yeast are perishable. From a health perspective, I suggest never to eat anything if the "label" states it has expired. I also suggest that you not eat cooked food that is over three days old in your refrigerator.
