Question:

Do you have a recipe for a great tasting substitute for powdered sugar without using regular sugar?

Answer:

I have experimented with making my own "powdered sugar" from both Sucanat and Florida Crystals unbleached cane sugar, and cornstarch. Using a blender or food processor, to every cup of Sucanat, add 2-4 T. cornstarch (depending on what type of consistency you are trying to reach), and process for several minutes to a powdery consistency. Then use it as a vegan substitution for the commercially made product in your favorite recipes.
