Question:Can you recommend a good vegan cookbook suitable for toddler meals?Article continues below Answer:Well, I don't have children and I haven't cooked for vegan toddlers much. But there are more and more vegan cookbooks appearing on the market every day, which is very inspiring to those of us who have chosen a vegan lifestyle, although I can't think of any which are specifically geared toward toddlers. Some of my personal favorites would be any of the cookbooks by Joanne Stepaniak Vegan Vittles or Ecological Cooking or Bryanna Clark Grogan The (Almost) No Fat Cookbook, or Burgers 'n Fries 'n Cinnamon Buns by Bobbie Hinman all contain vegan versions of American classic dishes that may appeal to toddlers as well as the other members of your family. Plus most of the recipes featured in them are low fat and they also offer health and nutrition information. I also did an installment of recipes that kids would like, on my site at http://www.veganchef.com/sept_20_2000.htm that may give you some ideas for your vegan toddler. Good luck! |
