Book ReviewThe Little Book of Vegan Poemsby Benjamin Zephaniah Review by Cynthia Mosher The Little Book of Vegan Poems is a delightful collection of poetry for your vegan child. It's the first vegan poetry book for children I have come across, so it's quite a pleasant surprise. The very first poem in the book, Vegan Kisses, is delightful for a young child as a bedtime ritual poem read by mom or dad: There's nothing like a vegan kiss Article continues below Offering up 22 poems in all, there are topics from everyday vegan living to animal and human rights and environmental concerns that will touch any child's heart. With Benjamin's "radical rapper" approach some of his poems will stir a bit of activism into their soul as well. He dedicates the book to "the caring, dedicated young vegans of the world...who will not stand for any exploitation whatever the species." |
