Book ReviewVegan for Life![]() By Jack Norris and Verginia Messina Review by Melanie Powers This new book written by Registered
Dieticians Jack Norris and Verginia Messina is an excellent book and
is perfect for anyone who is making the transition into a vegan diet
or as a reference book for long time vegans. Its written in a simple
and concise manner and offers straight forward facts and advice on how
to be healthy on a plant based diet. The authors take all the guesswork
out of vegan nutrition and also take the time to expel many of the myths
and controversy's out there surrounding vegan diets.
Article continues below Vegan for Life covers all the basics of vegan nutrition. B12, Calcium, Fat, Iron and the every present question "Where do you get your protein from if you don't eat meat?". The book also covers topics like vegan diets during pregnancy, raising vegan children and diets for people over the age of 50. I highly recommend this book as an essential resource guide for all vegans and vegetarians. The authors also have two excellent websites worth bookmarking and regularly visiting. www.veganhealth.org and www.theveganrd.com |
