Buying Organic Produce

Buying Organic Produce

is-organic-betterWhat produce is advisable to buy only organic? Are there any safe non-organic produce?

If you can not find organic produce the next best thing is locally grown produce at your farmer’s market. Locally grown usually means the use of fewer fungicides and insecticides, which are applied to produce destined for distant markets.
The following is a list of the ten fruits and vegetables that tested high in the amount of toxicity of pesticides residues found on them:

  • Peaches
  • Apples
  • Pears
  • Winter squash
  • Green beans
  • Grapes
  • Strawberries
  • Raspberries
  • Spinach
  • Potatoes
