This covers the past few days. It's now Monday morning - Martin Luther King Day to celebrate and the fabulous Inaguration of Barak Obama is tomorrow - woo hoo!!!

I am doing well with my commitment. I've not managed to advance much beyond my ten minutes a day but I am sticking to it and determined to develop a more complete workout once I have managed to ingrain the habit.

I'm checking in too!

I went to yoga yesterday, which was great, and I've managed to continue getting at least 15 min of good exercise via walking or working in the yard.

I have also been doing well with ingredients. I've used the low carb tortillas instead of regular ones for our "quesa"dillas, and today I had my chickpea salad in a regular tortilla instead of on a bagel, for about 50 less carbohydrates, and ate a second one wrapped in lettuce instead of a tortilla.

We also bought the grapeseed Vegenaise instead of the Original flavor.

I'm having oatmeal or yogurt instead of some sort of bread in the morning, and making sure to have ground flaxseed and fruit in it.

And when I eat dinner, I'm starting with the vegetables and protein first and carbohydrates last. This way I fill up on the good stuff and eat a lot less potatoes, rice, etc.

Congrats to all of you for continuing the challenge, and what a challenge it is. I feel good with only ten days left. I am taking more time out of my day for me and feeling good. Tonight I did yoga and tried out some new vegan recipes for dinner. I love that I can turn off the computer now and walk away from my work to do something for me and not feel guilty. I am feeling more energized and refreshed, and positive about life.
