Hello :}

I'm a 16-year-old South Florida vegan without any South Florida vegan friends. (See my bio. for further details.)

Do they even exist? It seems like every vegan I've ever met was just vacationing here. Maybe I should move. Anyhow, until then I'd be interested to know if anyone knows of any South Florida vegheads between the ages 14-24? (Florida vegan moms, show your children!) Or, does anyone know of a way I may be able to meet a few?

Thank you, regardless. :}

check the Florida playgroup listing if you haven't already. You can post a notice as well.

Dear South Florida Vegan,

It is really nice to learn of a teen taking positive steps toward your health by choosing a vegan diet. You should be proud of your foresightedness and determination. I wish you the best in finding some like-minded friends. Floridians, as a whole, aren't exactly at the forefront of health or environmentalism, are they?

Are you aware of Drs. Berger or Levinson with Vitality Health and Wellness in Aventura? They're holistic MDs concerned about nutrition, vaccines and environmental toxins. Dr. Levinson also teaches yoga there. The address is suite 905, 2999 NE 191st St. in Aventura. Maybe that would be a place to find referrals.

Can you tell me any more details about the young raw vegan family living in South Florida whose 5-month old babie died and the remaining children were put into foster homes when the parents were taken into custody last week? The details of the story of all of them being malnourished and the mother breastfeeding the baby don't make sense.

Thanks!
