Sonogram Results
I just got back from my sonogram. (BTW, I'm 17 weeks now.) Of course, the technician had us wait till the very end to find out what the baby is going to be.
The main good news is that everything is there. 10 fingers, 10 toes. The heart looks good, and has a normal heart rate. The brain and spinal cord look good. All the arm and leg bones are there too. The baby was pretty active during the sonogram, moving around, kicking, sucking the thumb. The baby weighs about 7 oz, which is also normal for this age. There was nothing of concern, which of course made all of us relieved.
We brought in the baby's paternal grandparents and our sister in law when we were about to find out what the baby is. Everyone had their guess, and sometime in March I'll be giving birth to a healthy little girl! I was shocked, since there's a lot of males in my fiancee's family and everyone said I looked like I was carrying a boy. But we're really excited about having a girl, and the important thing is that she's healthy and everything that's supposed to be there is and nothing that's not isnt.
I'm off to the mall to start picking out more girl clothes!
