Unhappy Gestational Diabetes

Well, I usually lurk around here, but I've got a question. I've got Gestational Diabetes. My appointment with the counseling program is the next Tuesday. I have to use one of those monitors =( I'm pretty surprised because this is my third pregnancy (I'm about 33 weeks now) and I'm healthy and young.

I'm wondering if anyone else has had to deal with us. I'm afraid of what they are going to tell me to eat, but I don't want to harm my baby or ruin my great birthing record.

I have never dealt with GD in pregnancy. My first pregnancy was fine, this time I hope it to be the same. Let us know what happens at your appt. I am sure they will have you eating a very well balanced diet which a vegan one sure fits. Just adjust as anyone of us vegans would. Let us know what they say! Good luck. VM edd 7/25/03
