Smile Hi from Australia

Hi my name is Linn and I'm in Australia. I'm married to an Australian solider and we have a son who will be turning one year old this Sunday. My son is still exclusively breastfed, and as he is approaching the time when he'll begin exploring solids and looking to us as role models I'm wanting more and more to clean up our diet. We aren't meat-free, I'm more here for ideas on vegan cooking particularly to get through those early years of eating with our son (eliminating potential allergens such as gluten, eggs, etc). We are mostly dairy-free though, only keeping yogurt and fetta cheese in the house. That's a lifestyle choice, not a dietary need, so it's not strict rule. Sometimes we'll indulge in some ice cream, or grab a milkshake when we're out and about.

We're a gentle family. Our son was homebirthed into water, has always been breastfed, has always slept in our bed, has always been worn in a sling, he has never been left to cry... all that lovely attachment parenting stuff. As a result we have the most content and happy little boy you could imagine, and I would hate for that to change because of something he is eating (wheat, preservatives, etc).

So anyway, that's a brief snapshot of us, I look forward to hanging around and learning
