There has been a great deal of research done lately about the importance of omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids in a healthy diet. As vegans, it can be difficult to get the proper balance of these essential fatty acids in our diet. Gertrude and Bronner's Magic "Alpsnack" is a delicious way to supplement our diets with the perfect balance of omega-6 and omega-3. The Alpsnack also has a high protein efficiency ratio. It is dairy-, gluten-, and wheat-free, and completely vegan. This "snack" could technically be a light meal on the go. The small bar can fit easily into a pocket or purse.

Alpsnack resembles trail mix or a granola bar and tastes fantastic. The texture is chewy, and it has a good taste -- slightly nutty and not too sweet. The bar is full of certified organic hemp nuts, almonds, and fruits (plums, currants, and apples). This will be a winner among children and adults alike.
