Product ReviewsDonna's Tamaleswww.donnastamales.com Review by Rebecca Hess I had never eaten a tamale before I
tried Donna's tamales. I was excited to try a new kind of food and was not
disappointed. I liked everything about these vegetarian and vegan
delicacies.
Kids will love the fact that they're cooked in corn husks, so they're fun to eat. The vegan tamale varieties are tofu chipotle, red & black beans with yams, anaheim chile corn, and just corn for kids. My absolute favorite was the red & black beans with yams. They were the ultimate comfort food-filling and satisfying with a rich, full flavor. The "just corn for kids" variety are perfectly mild and as the title says, just right for the kids. I added salsa to them and they were great. Article continues below Another fun part of tamale eating is the cooking! They're so easy-they can be grilled, cooked in a skillet or even microwaved. They're also a good way to introduce your family to new and different types of food and let them explore different tastes and textures. |
