Today I Ate a Rainbow
www.todayiatearainbow.com
Review by Melanie Powers

Rainbo Bunch Now here is a wonderful product designed to get young children excited about eating their fruits and veggies. This innovative nutritional chart was created by a mom, Kia Robertson who was searching for ways to encourage her daughter Hannah to eat more "rainbow" foods. The kit includes a rainbow chart, four sets of colorful magnets, four achievement magnets, shopping list and the book "The Rainbow Bunch". The rainbow chart is broken up into the five colors of the rainbow (red, orange, yellow, green and purple) and within each color column is a list of the fruits and veggies that correspond to that color. The goal for the child is to eat at least one of the foods from each color every day. Each time they eat a food from one of the color categories they receive a colored magnet to place on the chart. Once they've eaten an item from all the colors they get the "Today I Ate A Rainbow" achievement magnet.

The shopping list is a color coded so parents can make sure to buy foods from each of the five color categories on their grocery trips, and the rhyming book titled "The Rainbow Bunch" which is written for two to five-year-olds is a story about five friends who discover why it's so important to eat their fruits and vegetables.

This is such a wonderful simple product that every home (especially those with picky eaters) should have. It's colorful and fun and it really gets kids excited. My four-year-old kept asking what other foods she could eat so she could fill up her chart faster at each meal! In today's age of fast foods and too much junk, this is a great tool to teach children in an exciting way how important it is to be eating their fruits and vegetables, so they can stay healthy and feel great!

The entire kit is only $25 and ships for free through-out Canada and the USA and can be ordered on Kia's super cute website www.todayiatearainbow.com. I highly recommend this product!
