Youth Empowered Action YEA Camp !

We are getting excited for a great summer at Youth Empowered Action (YEA) Camp, a unique leadership program for youth ages 11 to 16 who want to make a difference in the world, and they still have slots available in their northern California and Portland camps.

Do you have a motivated teen or pre-teen in your life who is a vigilant recycler? Concerned about social justice issues? A passionate vegetarian? An idealist who wants to change the world? What are they doing this summer?

At YEA, campers choose an issue of importance to them. Some have chosen things such as global warming, homophobia, animal rights, improving recycling at their school, or helping people in Haiti. At camp, we help build the knowledge, skills, confidence, and community to prepare young people to be confident and effective changemakers. Youth will learn valuable communication, leadership, and campaign skills while living in a beautiful setting and surrounded by other inspiring young people and adult mentors. We also do lots of fun camp things like make music and videos, have dance parties, play games, hike, make art, do yoga, and have free time to just hang out.
