Why Did You Go Vegan?

I wholeheartedly agree with people who have written in to express their vegan beliefs regarding the slaughtering of animals. How devastating that is to have a pet cow and to have it sent to butcher.

To be raised on a farm full of wonderful animals and know that they are being slaughtered. It sickens me. I am so sickened at the thought that I cannot walk down the meat/dairy section of the grocers. I do not believe in free range either. I have heard the expression "humane slaughter", isn't that an oxymoron?? Another reason I do not do dairy is because animals are exploited horrendously. I thank PETA for opening my eyes and regretfully there is not enough that can be done to totally stop the slaughter. I wish there were :-(
