Energy Boosting Drinks

Fresh juiced vegetables make for a cooling satisfying drink. Certain vegetables combined together can also be quite purifying. Organic carrots are always a good base to begin to build your juice on. Carrots are alkalinizing to the body and are a good source of Vitamins A, B, C, D, E and K.

Greens such as watercress, spinach, parsley, chard, beet tops, celery leaves and dandelion, to name a few, as well as living sprouts are effective blood cleansers and blood builders because they are rich in chlorophyll.

Then of course, there is always beets and cucumbers and apple. Beets strengthen the heart and improve circulation. Cucumbers are great for the skin and also have chlorophyll. Apple is also a natural blood purifier and can aid in digestion.

The best ingredient to add to any freshly prepared vegetable juice is fresh ginger. Ginger will add heat to the cooling effects of the juiced vegetables.
