Fixing Paco

March is National Kidney Disease Awareness Month. We want to help raise awareness about chronic kidney disease, a condition that afflicts 1 in every 7 adults in the United States and about end stage renal disease which requires regular dialysis or a kidney transplant. So get educated! Learn what kidney disease is, how it happens, what you can do to avoid it and how you can help those who have it.

During National Kidney Disease Awareness Month in March, the Mendez National Institute of Transplantation Foundation is showcasing their “Get the Facts! Get Checked! Get Healthy!” PSA which helps the public learn more about kidney disease prevention. Watch their  video here: https://youtu.be/YaPdONzcFuk

The  Public Service Announcement campaign, starring Paul Rodriguez and Gloria Garayua, encourages people to do everything they can to prevent it and keep your kidneys healthy and happy. Claudia Sanchez, a kidney and pancreas recipient shares more about her personal experience: https://youtu.be/ja0sRoHA7hQ.

And please remember the need for kidney transplants for so many suffering from kidney disease and other organ failure. April is Donate Life Month so you can check out FixingPaco.org to register as a donor and help save lives!
